Hello my name is Mark Fleming. I have been involved in club cricket for the past 26 years playing first with Toombul , then Sandgate/Redcliffe as a player and ten years as the curator. I worked at Queensland Cricket headquarters for 3 years on the groundstaff.

I have gone back to my trade as a Boilermaker which involves metal fabrication and welding. I spent 18 months as the foreman for a major site steel company in Brisbane prior to starting Mark’s Midas Weld to service an area I could see needed a personal approach from someone with knowledge and skills in both these areas.

I understand what the ground staff and coaching department of clubs and schools require, I have a welding and metal fabrication business based at Clontarf , but servicing the greater south east Queensland area. I work with Cricket Australia, Queensland Cricket, district clubs and leading schools producing bowling machine platforms ,covers trolleys, coaching aids, soft netting solutions, retractable net systems and custom designed orders.

I also service a number of building contractors with supply and installation of structural steel and onsite welding and fabrication as needed. To complement a well appointed workshop I have a gasless Mig welder, MMA welder, AC/DC Tig welder, magnetic Rotobroach, and Oxy/ acetylene, so all bases are covered for onsite work.
